About the Role
Grand Avenue Preschool and Daycare is seeking an Assistant Teacher for their Preschool and PreK classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma OR GED.
- Ability to pass all background checks.
- Previous childcare experience is a must.
- Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
Shift & Compensation
- Shift: Monday - Friday, Full-time, 8am-5pm OR 9am-6pm
- Compensation: $17 - $20/hour, based on education and experience
