Sales Associate

About the Role

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Sales Associate to adhere to company service standards, meet sales and work goals, and contribute to the overall presentation of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and company service standards.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, ensuring stock is well-arranged and merchandised properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving, and help with merchandise placement.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately and in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Ensure all shoes are checked for mates when performing cashier functions.
• Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
