About the Role

Join Dichtbij kinderopvang, a leading community-based childcare organization, as a participant in a recognized BBL (work-study) program leading to an MBO level 3 or 4 diploma. This program offers the opportunity to work and learn concurrently, earning a salary while pursuing your education.

Key Responsibilities

• Work and learn in a childcare setting, combining practical experience with vocational training.
• Attend classes one evening per week for your recognized BBL training.
• Initially support as an extra colleague on a group, learning about the children and daily childcare operations.
• Gradually take on more responsibility as you gain experience.
• Work independently as a pedagogical professional for a portion of your hours.
• Engage in activities with children aged 0 to 13 years.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Laptop for completing assignments.
• Own transportation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in the Dutch language at level 3F (or B2).
• Completed a preparatory education at MBO level 2, with a preference for MBO level 3.
• Successful completion of a mandatory entry test for arithmetic and Dutch language prior to the start of the training.
• Motivation to undertake a new training program and reskill.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
• Patience, caring attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Flexibility and willingness to invest in personal and professional development.
• Ability to maintain a good work-life balance to allow sufficient time for learning.

Program Details

• Hours: 20-24 hours per week.
• Start Date: February 2027.
• Duration: 12 months.
• Dichtbij kinderopvang will cover your training costs.
• You will work 2-3 days per week on a baby group, toddler group, vertical group, or BSO (after-school care).
• Receive intensive guidance and coaching from experienced and involved colleagues.
• Salary is in accordance with the collective labor agreement for childcare (CAO kinderopvang), starting in scale 5 (€16.38 gross per hour, equivalent to €2555 gross per month full-time).
• Upon graduation, you will transition to scale 6 (€17.62 gross per hour).
• Includes 8% holiday allowance and 8% year-end bonus.
• Travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometer.
• Excellent pension scheme with PFZW.
• A contract is offered after successful completion of your training.
