Information Assurance Engineer

About the Role

This position will be remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day support for the installation, integration, and administration of Xacta.
• Designs, develops, and implements security requirements within business processes.
• Prepares documentation from customer information using accepted guidelines.
• Prepares Security Test and Evaluation plans.
• Provides certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans.
• Conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations, recommending solutions for gaps.
• Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans.
• Recommends system enhancements to improve security deficiencies.
• Develops, tests, and integrates computer and network security tools.
• Secures system configurations and installs security tools.
• Scans systems to determine compliancy and reports results.
• Evaluates products and various aspects of system administration.
• Conducts security program audits and develops solutions to mitigate identified risks.
• Develops strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements.
• Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures.
• Evaluates, develops, and enhances security requirements, policy, and tools.
• Provides assistance in computer incident investigations.
• Performs vulnerability assessments, including developing risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience.
• Experience performing a wide variety of information assurance and information systems security engineering duties, including certification and accreditation of information systems.
• Must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information.
• Requires US citizenship.
