Application Engineer

About the Role

The Application Engineer serves as a trusted technical resource, ensuring the accurate and effective use of Nook and Thomson products across a wide range of customer applications. This role acts as the technical bridge between our company’s products and the customers who use them.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely product selection guidance based on customer requirements.
• Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, including Product Design, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Communicate professionally across multiple channels, including phone, email, video conferencing.
• Deliver basic post-sales support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical inquiries.
• Leverage internal resources to address and resolve customer needs.
• Prepare and document pricing proposals for modified or customized product configurations.
• Support field sales teams in managing accounts and driving product direction, profitability, growth, and sales objectives.
• Contribute to the development of standard procedures and policies that promote lean office practices and performance metrics.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Qualifications

• Prior exposure to application engineering or technical support is preferred (entry level).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.

Expected Salary

$70,000 - $85,000 annually.

Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
