About the Role

The Marketing and Business Intern will support the growth and visibility of The Oaks Counseling Group through day-to-day marketing and administrative activities. This internship role is on-site and located in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with social media posts.
• Assist with website updates.
• Assist with basic content creation to promote services and community engagement.
• Conduct market research.
• Organize client outreach materials.
• Support basic administration and customer service functions, such as responding to inquiries and maintaining contact lists.
• Coordinate local outreach efforts.
• Track marketing performance.
• Prepare reports.
• Collaborate with counseling and administrative staff to improve business processes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Professional, empathetic demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.
• Market Research and Marketing Strategy skills.
• Sales and Customer Service skills.
• Basic familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing, website content management) is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in mental health, counseling services, or healthcare-related fields is a plus.
• Current enrollment in a Marketing, Business, Communications, or related program is required.
• Ability to work on-site in Myrtle Beach, SC.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to uphold ethical standards in a client-focused setting.
