Chartered Accountant, Finance & Compliance

About the Role

Techdome is seeking a Chartered Accountant to take ownership of the entire finance function across all its entities. This role encompasses books, payroll, banking, compliance, receivables, and founder reporting. The position involves direct collaboration with the CEO and CTO, requiring comprehensive expertise across all specified areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly Close:
• Close books for all entities within Zoho Books, including bank reconciliations, accruals, intercompany entries (India, US, UAE), and ensuring a clean trial balance.
• Payroll:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing on Keka, covering PF, ESI, PT, TDS, full and final settlements, and Form 16.
• Banking Operations:
• Prepare payment batches using a maker-checker model.
• Manage FIRC/FEMA documentation.
• Track cash positions on a daily basis.
• Compliance:
• Oversee the compliance calendar, including GST (exports under LUT), TDS returns, advance tax, and ROC filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Receivables:
• Handle invoicing in foreign currency.
• Track ageing and follow up on collections.
• Reporting:
• Deliver monthly P&L by entity and project.
• Provide a 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Generate a founder dashboard.
• Automation:
• Collaborate with the team to automate reconciliations, reminders, and reporting using n8n and AI tools.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
• Strong foundation in GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and FEMA.
• Understanding of export-of-services accounting: foreign currency invoicing, GST on exports, LUT, FIRC.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS on salary).
• Familiarity with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with at least one accounting tool such as Zoho Books, Tally, or similar.
• Demonstrated traits of being rigorous, organized, and capable of owning deadlines independently.
• Clear communication skills with founders, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
• Good to Have:
• Experience with Zoho Books and Keka.
• Exposure to US books (QuickBooks) or UAE/DIFC compliance.
• Articleship or internship experience at an IT/SaaS company or a firm with tech clients.
• Curiosity about automation and AI tools.
