Float Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

This role supports all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with lunch from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm.
• Location: Home site is 1111 S Stapley Dr. Mesa, AZ, responsible for coverage across 14 sites in the East Valley/border area.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinics.
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and enter data in a computer to maintain inventory records.
• Assist the Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona or an active Trainee Technician License in the state of Arizona or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to travel to all 14 sites in the East Valley/border area to cover callouts and PTO as needed.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver's License.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred).
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (Preferred).
