About the Role
Voltanova is a clean energy technology company focused on transforming industrial operations with carbon-free, thermal energy storage (TES) solutions. This is a full-time, on-site Electrical and Automation Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems that support Voltanova’s thermal energy storage and energy management technologies, including power distribution and integration with industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing electrical schematics and layouts.
- Performing load and safety calculations.
- Selecting appropriate components.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, controls, software, and operations) to implement robust, efficient, and safe power systems for pilot projects and commercial deployments.
- Participating in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical and power systems in real-world industrial environments.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Electrical Engineering and a solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals.
- Applied expertise in Electrical Design for industrial systems and components.
- Practical experience in Power Systems analysis and Power Distribution for industrial or energy applications.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering or related field); advanced degrees are an advantage.
- Experience with industrial or energy-sector projects, preferably in power, renewables, or thermal systems.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Interest in clean energy, sustainability, and working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
