Creative Services Intern

About the Role

WMUR-TV, an ABC affiliate, is seeking a summer intern for its Creative Services team. This internship offers a comprehensive understanding of television Creative Services operations and the fundamentals of writing and producing effective topical promotion.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the fundamentals of writing and producing effective news topical promotion.
• Explore broadcast and digital marketing and learn the responsibilities of the Creative Services Department.
• Gain production experience on promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
• Observe newscasts and editing sessions.
• Draft topical copy for the station and for Chronicle, a nightly newsmagazine show, as well as other special news segments.
• Gain an understanding of the station’s commitment to the community through PSA production.
• Apply writing and communication skills in a professional environment.
