The Finance Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with financial modeling.
• Support analysis of financial statements.
• Aid in the preparation of reports and presentations.
• Gather and organize financial data.
• Help review capital structures.
• Contribute to research on market trends, investor strategies, and potential M&A opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members to prepare internal documentation, client-ready materials, and meeting notes.
• Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and internal systems.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
• Familiarity with PowerPoint or similar presentation software.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support financial decision-making.
• Foundational knowledge of finance concepts, including valuation, capital structure, and corporate finance.
• Understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and their interrelationships.
• Basic accounting knowledge, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP principles.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing memos, presentations, and client-facing materials.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in technology companies, startups, and strategic advisory work.
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
