You'll be contributing to digital products across mobile apps, software applications, web tools, and touchscreens and controls mounted on walls in homes and buildings. This role sits upstream of traditional design, focusing on structuring ambiguous problems, aligning product, engineering, and business outcomes, and making the case for what to build and why. You'll negotiate tradeoffs involving software, manufacturing, and human behavior.
Key Responsibilities

- Support alignment across product, engineering, and business functions, enabling better product decisions, earlier.
- Build and present the case for direction to stakeholders.
- Turn research, field observation, and customer signals into a point of view for future projects and initiatives.
- Design end-to-end user experiences for mobile applications, web portals, touchscreen interfaces, smart home control systems, and lighting and shading controls.
- Develop user interface designs in Figma for Lutron software applications, mobile apps, and web tools.
- Contribute to a flexible, coherent design system with component libraries and design themes underpinning the visual language and navigation of interfaces.
- Help define design standards across Lutron products, maintaining consistency between mobile, web, and physical-device experiences.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible, aligned with business objectives, and grounded in accessibility and usability best practices.
