Security Screener

About the Role

The Security Screener is a full-time, on-site role at Patna Airport, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport property.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment as per regulatory procedures.
• Verify identification documents.
• Monitor restricted areas.
• Report suspicious activities or security breaches promptly.
• Coordinate with security agencies, airport staff, and airlines to manage queues, maintain orderly movement, and provide clear instructions to passengers.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in regular security drills and training sessions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to operate and interpret security screening equipment (e.g., X-ray machines, metal detectors, explosive trace detectors).
• Strong observation, situational awareness, and risk assessment capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to follow detailed procedures, maintain accurate records, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and handle manual baggage checks.
• Basic computer literacy for using security systems, reporting tools, and documentation.
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and professional behavior.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification at higher secondary level or equivalent.
• Additional security or aviation certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or aviation operations is preferred but not mandatory.
