About the Role
LaBella Associates is hiring an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer for its Environmental division. The role is based in our Rochester, NY, or Ithaca, NY offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring of construction projects.
- Oversee fieldwork related to Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Support environmental investigation and remediation projects for sites contaminated with solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs.
- Conduct field work in all weather conditions.
- Perform environmental construction monitoring.
- Conduct air, soil, and groundwater sampling.
- Supervise drilling operations.
- Perform soil classification and logging.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety program.
- Prepare reports.
- Support project managers on various projects.
- Adjust to the schedule of a wide range of projects.
- Routine travel to job sites.
- Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stays may be required.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs over short distances.
- Additional duties as required.
