Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time Geotechnical Engineer role based in Pune City, offered in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute site investigations, including soil sampling, in-situ testing, and data collection to assess subsurface conditions.
• Analyze soil and rock properties.
• Prepare geotechnical reports.
• Provide recommendations for foundation design, ground improvement, and slope stability.
• Collaborate with structural and civil engineering teams.
• Review design documents.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Support project planning and risk assessment.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals.
• Contribute to quality assurance and safety practices on project sites.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology, including subsurface characterization and geotechnical analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Site Investigation and Soil testing, including field investigations, laboratory testing, and interpretation of results.
• Proficiency in Foundation Design, including shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and ground improvement solutions.
• Ability to use relevant geotechnical software and tools (e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5, or similar) and interpret geotechnical data for design and construction.
• Familiarity with national and international design codes and standards for geotechnical and foundation engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills, with attention to detail and documentation quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, including coordination with multidisciplinary project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• A postgraduate degree in a related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in infrastructure, industrial, or building projects is beneficial.
• Professional certifications or memberships are a plus.
