Sales Associate (Full-Time)

About the Role

DTLR, Inc. is seeking dedicated Full-Time Sales Associates to join our team at Caln Plaza, Coatesville, PA. You will be responsible for assisting store management with daily operational functions, providing excellent customer service, driving sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. All activities are expected to be performed in a professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships by demonstrating strong customer service: assist customers professionally, courteously, reliably, attentively, honestly, and responsively.
• Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable assistance to help select appropriate products.
• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge to satisfy customer needs and sell merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Maintain and present a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward job and company.
• Comply with and enforce all company policies.
• Embrace service training and product programs.
• Assist Store Manager with monitoring and identifying issues related to loss or inconsistencies to ensure store goals for shrink are met.
• Monitor and control all aspects of operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
• Support the training of employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Actively seek to minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft.
• Follow loss prevention policies and security procedures.
• Enforce and follow proper point of sale procedures. Balance all money taken in during assignment and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
• Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.
• A standard work week consists of a minimum of 35 hours up to a maximum of 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of the English language to effectively communicate with management, customers, and other employees.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work under minimum supervision; ability to take charge of the store when necessary.
• Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Proven track record in building and working as part of a team, demonstrated ability to handle responsibility, and an understanding of the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
• Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Must have reliable transportation.
