About the Role
The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing overall business operations, strategic direction, and growth for Wilson Power Solutions in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and reviewing business objectives.
- Managing key stakeholder relationships.
- Ensuring alignment with the company’s technical, commercial, and sustainability goals.
- Supervising financial performance.
- Approving major investments.
- Guiding sales, marketing, and operational initiatives to support the transformer product portfolio and related services.
- Collaborating closely with local and international teams.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentoring senior leaders.
- Representing the company at industry events.
- Identifying new market opportunities in India and neighboring regions.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills, with experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and business units.
- Solid background in power systems, electrical engineering, or energy sector operations, particularly related to transformers, renewable energy, or grid infrastructure.
- Proficiency in business development, sales, and commercial negotiations, including building long-term customer and partner relationships.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and performance tracking, with the ability to interpret financial reports and drive profitability.
- Knowledge of quality, safety, and regulatory standards relevant to power equipment manufacturing and installation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to represent the company with clients, suppliers, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Proven capability in organizational development, talent management, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent executive qualification is an advantage.
