Packing Associate

About the Role

Unusual Machines is a U.S.-based drone and drone parts company. As a Packaging Associate, you will play an important role in preparing UMAC products for shipment, ensuring items are packaged correctly, labeled accurately, and ready to reach customers on time. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented approach and the ability to get things done right.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Reliable transportation to travel between different company facilities as needed
• Ability to perform hands-on, repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic reading, counting, and math skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials as required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production expectations
• Ability to maintain an organized and safe work area
• Ability and willingness to follow all established safety, quality, and inventory procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Previous packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, fulfillment, or production experience (preferred)
• Experience verifying product quantities, labels, or order information (preferred)
• Familiarity with inventory procedures and shipping documentation (preferred)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to use hands and fingers to package, label, and organize products
• Ability to visually inspect products, packaging, and labels for accuracy
• Ability to lift and move materials as required, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Immediately report damaged products, packaging issues, or other concerns to their supervisor.
