FIX Analyst

About the Role

The FIX Analyst role is part of a global FIX Connectivity team. The team collaborates with Sales, Implementations, Development, Product Development, and Support teams to understand business workflows and translate them into software solutions. The role involves daily external communication with client and broker technology teams, as well as their technology vendors. The team also participates in strategic projects, including new functionality rollouts, system improvements, and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand bespoke business workflows and translate them into software solutions.
• Communicate externally with tech teams of clients/brokers and their technology vendors.
• Participate in strategic projects such as the rollout of new functionalities, system improvements, and regulatory changes.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• FIX protocol (ver. 4.2/4.4)
• Unix/Linux-based O/S Applications
• Databases: Oracle/SQL
• FIX certification process
• Electronic trading environment
• Networking protocols, VPN, Extranet connectivity, TCP/IP
• Jira
• Confluence
• Experience with any programming language: Java, C++, C, Python
• Exposure to asset classes: Equities, Futures, Options, FX

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of the FIX protocol.
• Experience with programming languages like Java, C++, C, or Python.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux-based O/S Applications.
• Experience working with databases and writing basic SQL queries (Oracle/SQL).
• Excellent understanding of the FIX certification process.
• Experience in an electronic trading environment in a FIX onboarding or FIX Support capacity.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, VPN, Extranet connectivity, and an understanding of TCP/IP concepts.
• Exposure to Equities, Futures, Options, or FX asset classes.
• Previous experience with Jira for project tracking and Confluence for documentation.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work in multiple time zones (HK/EU/US hours).
• Quick learner with strong attention to detail and ability to think outside the box.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities.
• Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills

• Scripting knowledge in Shell/Python.
• Familiarity with Algorithmic Trading.
• Previous experience with OMS/EMS, exchanges, or trading firms.
• Previous experience in developing tooling and processes to drive efficiencies.

Education

• Engineering Graduate from any premier institution.
