About the Role
Universal Energy Solutions is hiring motivated individuals to join our Houston team as Direct Sales Representatives. This entry-level position is designed for people who enjoy working with others and want to build a successful career. No previous sales experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet face-to-face with customers and decision-makers
- Review current electricity and natural gas supply plans
- Help customers identify opportunities to reduce their energy costs
- Recommend competitive energy supplier options based on each customer's needs
- Build relationships with prospective residential customers
- Learn our proven customer consultation process alongside experienced mentors
- Travel throughout an assigned territory (typically within a 30-mile radius of the office)
- Develop new business opportunities
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable meeting with business owners face-to-face
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing role is preferred
- Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills is preferred
Compensation
- Base Pay + Commission
- Weekly base pay while learning
- Commission earned on new accounts
- Increased earning potential based on performance
- Typical first-year on-target earnings (OTE) range from $55,000-$70,000, with the potential to earn $100,000+ for high performers.
