FT, Laundry Attendant

About the Role

The Westin Tempe is seeking a Full-Time Laundry Attendant to join the Housekeeping Team. This role ensures the proper washing and drying of laundry to maintain high standards of quality for Crescent and Marriott, and to service hotel guests. The task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure proper washing and drying of laundry.
• Maintain high standards of quality for Crescent and Marriott.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• AM/PM availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers; be a team player.
• Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and different formulas, and their effects on various types of linen.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
• Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.

• Work Habits: Meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Adaptable to change, willing to learn new skills or improve existing ones, and able to solve routine problems. Ask for help when unsure.
• Safety & Security: Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and reporting safety hazards and concerns.
