Field Service Engineer

About the Role

• This is a position based in Chennai, India with 100% field work.
• The incumbent will be responsible for the installation and service support of Nordson Matrix AXI.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer relationship management.
• Service and application support of customers in the assigned territory.
• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment.
• Planning and scheduling servicing work in advance.
• Working on Preventative Maintenance activities and field modifications.
• Maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers and Nordson management.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
• Submitting detailed daily reports on all work done on each machine.
• Planning parts needed for customers.
• Maintain attendance log for billing.
• Required to work on a shift basis.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications:
• Essential: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics Preferred, Electrical or Instrumentation also considered).
• Diploma candidates with highly relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience:
• Around 0-3 years in the installation and customer support of high value capital equipment.
• At least 1 year of the above experience should have been in the Southern part of India.

• Ability to understand pneumatic, electric, electronics, and control systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to learn new skills.
