About The Team

The Polaris Platform Bangalore team (a.k.a. Legion team) at Rubrik provides the core platforms and systems that enable product engineers to efficiently build and operate scalable and reliable applications in the cloud and also the on-prem version of the control plane. Polaris Platform has a horizontal charter with customers being both external and Rubrik internal teams. The Legion team is working on enabling product led trials, license management & enforcement, and making its cloud deployment infrastructure more efficient. The team also owns the on-prem RSC (RSC-P) version, supporting it on different deployments while ensuring it scales and is performant like its cloud counterpart.

About The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. The goal is to motivate and challenge people to do their best work through a fluid structure and flexibility to work on projects that individuals enjoy. This develops more capable engineers and keeps everyone engaged and happy. The team is constantly re-imagining its platform to address challenges of huge year-over-year growth, offering an exciting time to join as we improve and innovate on each core layer.

Recent Projects Include:

• Enabling product assisted trials to decrease sales cycles
• Bringing in Licensing visibility and enforcement for customers
• Scaling our single node on-prem control plane (RSC-P) to multi node
• Bringing in deployment efficiency to improve developer productivity

What You’ll Do

• Build our platforms, systems and infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems and large scale storage systems.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Java, C/C++, Scala, Python, C# (Prior experience with C++ is a plus)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure or other public cloud technologies is a plus
• Experience working with two or more from the following: Unix/Linux environments, Windows environments, distributed systems, networking, developing large software systems, file systems, storage systems, hypervisors, databases and/or security software development.
• Knowledge of Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, microservice architectures is a plus.

Qualifications

• Rubrik Software Engineers are self-starters, driven, and can manage themselves.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
