Content Writing Intern (SEO)

About the Role

We are looking for a research-oriented Content Writing Intern (SEO) who can create high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content. The ideal candidate should be comfortable researching topics in depth, identifying unique angles for blogs, and creating content that delivers real value to readers. We are looking for someone who understands that good content is more than just writing words. It requires research, originality, search intent, and a clear understanding of SEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Research industry trends, topics, and search results to identify unique blog ideas and content opportunities.
• Write high-quality, well-researched, informative, and engaging blog articles.
• Conduct keyword research and incorporate relevant keywords naturally into content.
• Understand search intent and structure content to improve its relevance and SEO performance.
• Analyse competing articles to identify content gaps and opportunities to create something better.
• Write SEO-friendly headings, meta titles, meta descriptions, introductions, and FAQs.
• Optimise existing content for readability, keyword placement, internal linking, and search visibility.
• Fact-check information and use reliable sources to maintain content accuracy.
• Collaborate with the SEO team to align content with organic growth objectives.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• At least 1 year of hands-on content writing experience, including internships or full-time roles.
• Strong written English, grammar, sentence structure, and editing skills.
• Good research skills and the ability to find unique insights rather than repeat information already available online.
• Basic understanding of SEO, keyword research, search intent, and on-page optimisation.
• Experience writing blogs, articles, website content, or other long-form content.
• Ability to analyse competitor content and identify content gaps.
• Understanding of headings, content structure, internal linking, and metadata.
• Ability to write original, reader-focused content with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with AI writing tools is a plus, but the ability to fact-check, improve, and add original value to AI-assisted content is essential.

Qualifications

• A portfolio of published blogs or writing samples.
• Experience writing SEO-focused content for websites.
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, or Ubersuggest.
• Basic understanding of E-E-A-T and how it supports helpful, trustworthy content.
