Software Engineer, AI Platform
Anduril Industries
About the Role
Anduril's Continuous Integration platform is critical for enabling all engineering teams to build, test, and deploy products globally. As a Software Engineer on the Software Platform team, you will ensure the CI platform is reliable and fast, enabling teams to ship efficiently and without impacting others. Your focus will be on functional and operational improvements that directly speed up build, test, and deployment experiences. The work will compound across other products, requiring you to deliver against a shared roadmap, own epics end-to-end, and instrument metrics to demonstrate improvements. You will work across a complex delivery ecosystem, multi-stage release pipelines, and Cloud and Robot environments, where correctness has measurable consequences. This role is for engineers who enjoy building infrastructure that others depend on, particularly on systems that ship real defense technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated build, test, and deployment software across multiple enclaves.
- Collaborate and partner with software engineers to optimize build and test processes, reduce deployment friction, and integrate security controls early in the development lifecycle.
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) to provision and configure development, test, and production environments that meet DISA STIG and NIST 800-53 requirements.
- Create monitoring and logging infrastructure to validate support security operations, troubleshooting, and incident response.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Proficiency in a variety of programming languages such as Python, C++, and Rust.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code using Crossplane, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
- Understanding of Linux system administration, networking, and scripting (Python, Bash).
Desired Qualifications
- Experience deploying and maintaining systems in classified DoD or IC environments.
- Experience with CircleCI, GitOps workflows and declarative infrastructure management.
- Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
