Role Description

The Career Counsellor (Student Guidance | Flexible / Part-time) will provide individualized career and academic counseling to students on-site in Delhi, India. This part-time role involves:

• Conducting one-on-one and small group sessions.
• Assessing students’ interests and strengths.
• Guiding students toward suitable academic streams, college options, and career paths.
• Using structured career frameworks, aptitude indicators, and industry trends to offer clear, actionable guidance to students and parents.
• Preparing counseling materials.
• Maintaining accurate student records.
• Collaborating with the MentorGates team on program improvements.
• Participating in workshops or information sessions as needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to work on-site in Delhi, India.
• Flexible part-time hours.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Familiarity with current and emerging career paths, higher education options, and AI-driven industry trends is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling.
• Skills in Career Development and Career Management.
• Excellent Communication skills (explaining options clearly, facilitating discussions with parents, conducting interactive sessions).
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in academic advising, school counseling, or youth mentoring is beneficial.
