Data Analytics Intern

Job Title: Data Analytics Intern (Spring 2027, Full-time Hours)

About the Role

This is a 14-week, full-time internship opportunity (approximately 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) from late January to late April. This role reports to the Director of Finance Transformation and will support the Data Analytics team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support migration of global finance systems to US-based systems.
• Contribute to systems mapping and data flow exercises by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
• Support predictive modeling and performance measurement initiatives.
• Engage in continuous learning opportunities about emerging finance technologies and systems.
• Offer support across finance transformation projects.
• Contribute to business analysis by comprehending financial workflows and participating in project planning.
• Participate in professional development to refine skills in finance and technology.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic to intermediate experience with Excel and SQL.
• Hybrid work arrangement in Cedar Rapids, IA (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office; Monday and Friday work from home).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, or other IT-type degree.
• Internships are not available for students who have completed their college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship.
• Strong interest in financial systems, data analysis, automation, and process improvement.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior relevant internship experience or an interest in the IT field.
• Exposure to Python, Alteryx, AI, Cloud-technologies.
• Passion for learning and keeping pace with the latest advances in data science and machine learning.

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $22 - $25 per hour.
• Full-time interns will receive an intern allowance to offset costs associated with relocation, housing, parking/transit, and/or mileage.
