Simora.ai is the contextual layer for AI video, building custom studios and AI workflows for enterprises to produce videos at scale in their own format, brand, and process.

The Role

CTO Founding role. Own all of Simora’s technology. Set technical direction, build and lead the engineering team, and make calls on architecture, infrastructure, AI models, and cost. Work closely with founders on future product development. This is a building role that involves writing code daily.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Built a complete product end-to-end, from first architecture to paying users at scale, and remained accountable for it in production.
• Hands-on coding, reviewing, and shipping code.
• Troubleshooting and fixing system issues quickly.
• Trained or fine-tuned open-source AI models, including data preparation, result evaluation, and production deployment.
• Hands-on with the AI/ML stack, including:
• PyTorch
• Hugging Face
• Diffusion and generative models
• Fine-tuning methods like LoRA
• GPU training and inference infrastructure
• Ability to determine when to train own models, fine-tune existing ones, or use APIs, and understand the associated costs.
• Strong problem-solving skills for unfamiliar systems and challenges.
• Experience leading engineers and hiring effectively, setting team building standards.
• Understanding of AI models and media pipelines to decide on build vs. buy strategies and cost estimations.
• Focus on business outcomes including speed, reliability, and cost per user.
• Clear planning, fast execution, and comfort with early-stage company uncertainty.
• Deep understanding of own systems.

Qualifications

• You are looking to start your own startup or mine the AI gold rush with strong ideas and execution.
• You have experience beyond using AI through APIs, including training or fine-tuning models yourself.
• You see the CTO role as hands-on building and coding, not just managing and reviewing.
• You have a history of building things yourself, not just managing teams.
• You have owned a product’s technology end-to-end.
• You are effective in building with a lean team and established processes.
