About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in software testing, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes. The intern will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and executing test cases for software applications.
- Identify, document, and report software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Maintain test scripts, test cases, and test result reports.
- Work closely with developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Gain exposure to QA automation tools like Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or Cypress.
- Suggest improvements in the QA process and assist in implementing best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest QA methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic Understanding of Software Testing Concepts: Knowledge of manual testing, automation basics, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or TestRail.
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database testing.
- Understanding programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify bugs and suggest improvements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to detect inconsistencies in applications.
- Good Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document and report test results.
