COFFEE BAR ATTENDANT

About the Role

The Coffee Bar Attendant at Gorsuch Ski Cafe & Coffee Bar is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by preparing and serving high-quality coffee and related beverages. The primary focus is on providing prompt, friendly, and efficient service in a welcoming environment. This role ensures the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when requested.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and process transactions promptly.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Legal eligibility to work in the location specified.
• Basic coffee preparation and equipment operation.
• Effective communication with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or food and beverage role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Barista certification or formal training in coffee preparation is preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor are preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to food service is preferred.
