About the Role

• Actively greets members.
• Provides a high level of member service.
• Performs clean up, department set-up, and closing tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Greets members, helps members load orders onto the conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, and thanks members.
• Assists cashiers by counting items left in carts, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning.
• Packs member orders into boxes and loads them onto a separate cart or flatbed.
• Checks packaging for tampering.
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Follows proper departmental procedures for performance of duties.
• Assists members loading orders into their cars when appropriate.
• May assist members with self-checkouts with regards to scanning heavy merchandise and entering item numbers.
• May assist members with self-checkouts by monitoring registers for errors and keeping the belt area clean of product and debris.
• Maintains cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area.
• Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Performs set-up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
• Transfers pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to steel shelves and bulk walls for storage, or directly to the sales floor.
• Assists with stocking.
• Clears sales floor debris.
• Observes and ensures correct product signage; creates computer-generated signs.
• Labels unmarked product with item numbers.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery.

Qualifications

• Open availability is needed to meet the business needs.
• Required to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
