About the Role

Freudia™ is building India’s most accessible mental health and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) platform. The Founding Software Developer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining Freudia’s core technology platform in a full-time, remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecting and implementing back-end services, APIs, and data models.
• Writing clean and testable code.
• Integrating third-party tools and services.
• Collaborating with product, design, and mental health professionals to translate user needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Participating in code reviews and continuous improvement of development practices.
• Contributing to technical decision-making.
• Helping set engineering standards and processes.
• Supporting the growth of the technology team.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-ready applications.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in scalable architectures.
• Experience with modern development tools and practices (version control, testing frameworks, CI/CD).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate across functions.
• Prior experience in early-stage startups or building products from the ground up is an advantage.
• Interest in mental health, wellbeing, or social impact technology initiatives is highly beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
