About the Role
Mead & Hunt is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Bridge/Structural Engineer to join our Transportation team in Lexington, SC.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge engineering projects.
- Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive design reports.
- Perform geometric design and related engineering tasks for bridge projects.
- Conduct load rating analyses for bridges and culverts to evaluate structural integrity.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a similar discipline from an accredited college or university, or the ability to obtain within nine months of hire.
- EIT preferred.
- Experience with designing/drafting software (MicroStation preferred).
- Experience with transportation projects (specifically bridgework) and/or relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite software.

- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple commitments.
- Understanding of bridge design tasks.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
