Store Operations Associate

About the Role

CubeSmart Self-Storage is seeking a Store Operations Associate to manage and maintain stores within a district. This role requires skills in both customer service and property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions.
• Deliver a standout customer experience.
• Interact face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Rent self-storage units.
• Sell store merchandise.
• Manage the leasing process.
• Accept payments utilizing the Point-of-Sale System (POS).
• Complete daily bank deposits.
• Make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.

Property Maintenance

• Perform daily walks of the property.
• Clean units and store grounds.
• Open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
• Maintain the facility, including mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and cleaning out storage units.
• Ensure a clean and safe storage facility to meet company guidelines.
• Maintain clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, clean storage doors, and a neat, decluttered office space.

Qualifications

• A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• A self-driven mindset with strong operational focus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance.
• Physical requirements include frequently standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, climbing, or balancing on a ladder.
• Some locations may require Sunday hours.
