About the Role
Tyler Technologies is seeking a year-round Software Development Intern for their Orono, ME office. This role provides an opportunity to experience the day-to-day development practices of a high-tech software company. The intern will be a valuable resource for research, testing, and coding of new products, working on actual projects in live software under the guidance of a Product Manager and participating in team meetings. This opening is exclusively for University of Maine Orono students and begins in May 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and/or modify software modules to meet specifications.
- Assure software program integrity through review and testing.
- Prepare and/or modify program and system documentation.
- Research and incorporate new technologies into the software design.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Exposure to current languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, and SQL.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a software development team on technical and business issues.
- Ability to conduct independent research and present recommendations based upon findings.
