About the Role

This role leads Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) across GSK Technology. The role sets the enterprise practice, standards, controls, data-quality expectations, and delivery discipline required to maintain trusted asset and configuration information across a largely outsourced, multi-sourced ecosystem. It establishes clear accountabilities, governs adherence, and assures that internal teams and delivery partners maintain complete, accurate, and timely records throughout the lifecycle. Working through ServiceNow and integrated discovery, inventory, procurement, and supplier data sources, the role enables service operations, cyber security, change, incident, problem, resilience, and technology lifecycle decisions. It also drives proportionate automation and responsible AI-enabled productivity, with security, compliance, data quality, human review, and governance guardrails embedded by design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice Leadership & Governance
  • Define and maintain the enterprise IT Asset and Configuration Management practice covering HAM and SAM, aligned to GSK standards, regulatory requirements, and the Technology operating model.
  • Input to policies, standards; set control objectives, lifecycle rules, data ownership, and RACI expectations; ensure accountabilities are clear across internal teams, strategic partners, managed service providers, and specialist suppliers.

  • Govern integrations with discovery, endpoint, cloud, procurement, identity, security, and supplier data sources, including reconciliation, exception handling, and authoritative-source decisions.
  • Define dashboards and management information that make control performance, risk, data quality, and remediation progress transparent.
  • Automation, Responsible AI & Modern Engineering
  • Partner with the Automation Acceleration team and relevant platform or engineering teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities across discovery, normalization, reconciliation, attestation, exception triage, and reporting.
  • Promote responsible use of AI-enabled analysis and productivity tools to identify anomalies and improve decision support, with approved data use, security, and compliance controls, explainability where appropriate, human review, and auditable outcomes.
