Finance Controller

About the Role

Merlin Brands is seeking a Finance Controller to build a robust, scalable, and technology-driven finance function, in close partnership with the business.

Location: Okhla Phase 2

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Control & Reporting

• Own monthly financial close within T+10 to T+15.

• Manage MIS, financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital management.

• Strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and governance.

• Marketplace & D2C Finance

• Manage end-to-end reconciliation of settlements across Amazon, FirstCry, Quick Commerce, and other marketplaces.

• Perform receivables, deductions, claims, and payment reconciliations.

• Improve profitability, margin visibility, and commercial finance processes.

• ERP & Finance Automation

• Lead ERP implementation/migration across platforms such as ERPNext, SAP B1, Odoo, NetSuite, Unicommerce, or similar.

• Drive automation across AP and finance workflows.

• Reduce manual Excel dependency through technology and process improvement.

• Compliance, Audit & Treasury

• Manage GST, TDS, PF, ESI, ROC, and statutory compliance.

• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits.

• Manage banking relationships, treasury, cash flow, and working capital.

• Support investor reporting, board MIS, CMA data, and due diligence.

• Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

• Drive accountability, disciplined reporting, and timely execution.

• Build a finance function focused on process excellence and strong financial governance.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Finance Controllership, FP&A, and Business Finance.
• Hands-on experience with D2C / e-commerce / marketplace finance.
• Exposure to ERP implementation and finance automation.
• Strong understanding of GST, audits, compliance, and treasury.
• Experience leading and scaling finance teams.
• A strong commercial mindset with the ability to partner with business leadership.
