Junior Software Engineer Intern

About the Role

This internship focuses on fundamental software development principles. As a Junior Software Engineer Intern, you will engage in a real development workflow, including bug reports, feature requests, and code reviews, learning how professional teams build and maintain reliable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Build small features under the guidance of senior developers.
• Track down reported bugs, find the root cause, and fix them properly.
• Write clean, readable code in a language such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Write simple unit tests to check that your code works as expected.
• Apply data structures and algorithms to solve practical problems efficiently.
• Use Git and GitHub for branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Write short notes so teammates can understand and reuse your work.
• Share progress in daily check-ins and a weekly review.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms (arrays, lists, stacks, queues, trees, sorting).
• Basic idea of object-oriented programming.
• Ability to ask good questions when stuck.
• Logical thinking and enjoyment in troubleshooting.
• Laptop and stable internet connection for full-time remote work.

Nice to have, not required:

• Familiarity with Git.
• Basic knowledge of databases or APIs.
• A GitHub profile, LeetCode or HackerRank profile, or a personal project.

Who Can Apply

• Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, or related streams.
• Self-taught developers who can show their skills through a GitHub profile, coding practice profile, or personal project.
• Freshers are welcome; prior work experience is not required.
• Must be available to work full-time for the internship period.
