Software Engineer - Intern (AI-First & GenAI Focus)
Wayfair is transforming e-commerce with an AI-First approach, leveraging Generative AI and machine learning to enhance customer experiences and optimize operations. This internship offers a chance to work on applications, web services, and data systems that impact millions of daily visitors. Interns will join teams focused on areas like Search & Recommendations Tech, Storefront Tech, Supply Chain Retail Tech, Marketing Technology, ML Platforms and Infrastructure, and Global Supplier Tech.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to building scalable, future-ready solutions impacting business, suppliers, and global customers.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and GenAI workflows throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with full-stack, mobile, or cloud development.
- Web technologies including SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Python.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the 7th semester of a full-time B.E./B.Tech program in Computer Science.
- Available for internship during the 8th semester.
- Strong academic track record.
- Passion for emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and software engineering.
- Exposure to or experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Enthusiasm for leveraging GenAI tools.
- Strong autonomy, problem-solving ability, ownership mindset, and excellent communication skills.
