About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing, refraction, and assessment for common ocular conditions.
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient records.
• Counsel customers on lens options, frame selection, contact lens usage, and eye health.
• Calibrate and operate diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure prescriptions are correctly interpreted for lens manufacturing.
• Collaborate with store teams to meet service and quality goals.
• Participate in in-store eye camps or promotional activities.
• Maintain hygiene and safety protocols.
• Stay updated on clinical best practices and product offerings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry (or equivalent recognized qualification).
• Valid registration with relevant professional or regulatory bodies.
• Strong clinical optometry skills, including refraction, contact lens fitting, binocular vision assessment, and routine eye health evaluation.
• Solid customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings, educate customers, and provide empathetic, patient-centered care.
• Attention to detail, record-keeping, and basic computer skills to manage digital patient records and prescriptions accurately.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with store staff, optical technicians, and management in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to work flexible store hours, uphold infection control and safety standards, and maintain a professional, inclusive approach to all customers.
• Prior experience in retail eye care or optical settings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with diagnostic instruments and lens products is beneficial.
