About the Role

Sparta Cricket Coaching is seeking a part-time Reporter to cover academy activities, training sessions, matches, and player achievements. The role involves producing engaging written and multimedia content for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with coaches and players.
• Gather information and statistics.
• Write news stories and feature articles.
• Prepare match reports and event summaries.
• Collaborate with coaching staff and management for accurate and timely coverage.
• Strengthen Sparta’s presence on social media, websites, and other communication channels.
• Proactively coordinate with on-ground staff in Chennai.
• Adhere to editorial guidelines and deadlines.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to gather information and present it clearly and accurately.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities for interviews, feature stories, and match reports.
• Experience or familiarity with multimedia content creation (photos, short videos, social media posts).
• Knowledge or keen interest in cricket, including basic understanding of rules, formats, and performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Ability to manage part-time hours.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in journalism, sports reporting, or content creation is an advantage.
• Relevant education in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
