About the Role
The Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting risk assessments such as HAZOP and JSA.
- Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimize workplace hazards.
- Overseeing safety audits, inspections, and training programs to promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensuring adherence to standards like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Managing emergency response planning.
- Coordinating with regulatory authorities.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Managing contractor safety.
- Analyzing safety performance data.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business and sustainability goals.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with safety and environmental management systems.
- Familiarity with HAZOP and JSA risk assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience in incident investigation and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections.
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
- Experience in emergency response planning.
