About the Role
As a Field Auto Damage Trainee, you’ll provide reassurance and solutions that make a difference in our customers' lives when they need us the most after an accident. This is not a remote role; you will be required to work in the territory listed on the job posting. The role is based in the South San Francisco, CA area with a GEICO Fleet vehicle assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage.
- Estimate vehicle repair costs.
- Negotiate equitable settlements.
- Partner with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.
- Consult with involved parties.
- Review insurance contracts.
- Write estimates.
- Manage rental cars.
- Resolve customer concerns, ensuring a positive experience.
- Drive customer satisfaction through meaningful interactions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Valid driver’s license that meets company underwriting guidelines.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Customer-facing experience preferred.
- Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs and measurable goals preferred.
- Active Adjusters license preferred (training and exam fees provided).
- College degree preferred.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and empathy skills.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask across platforms.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Professional Growth & Training

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay rate varies based upon position and location.

- Annual Salary: $32.05 - $50.36 (general guideline; actual rate determined by experience, education, location, etc.).
