About the Role

UnitedHealthcare is growing its team in Denver, CO, with multiple Early Careers full-time sales opportunities available as a Sales Agent in the Sales Development Program. This inbound call role offers a competitive base salary and bonuses based on sales performance. You will consult customers on their insurance needs and match them with the correct coverages, products, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from prospective members.
• Identify customer assistance and information needs with the goal to convert callers to qualified leads and sales.
• Ask appropriate questions and actively listen to identify issues while documenting information in computer systems.
• Assess prospect needs and explain product differences to assist in selecting the best product.
• May make outbound calls to members for follow-up or to review products and services.
• Assist prospects with completing enrollment applications over the phone.
• Meet established goals for performance, attendance, and consumer experience.
• Meet and maintain requirements for agent licensure, appointments, and annual product certification.
• Apply AI tools and techniques to drive efficiency, insights, and innovation within your functional area.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Build and optimize prompts for analysis, reporting, and automation.
• Integrate AI into workflows (e.g., reporting, dashboards, operations processes).
• Analyze data using AI-enabled tools and generate insights.
• Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements.
• Ensure responsible and compliant use of AI solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
• Training is fully onsite for 6-10 weeks.
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM, with rotational weekend work.
• Site location: 169 Inverness Dr W, Englewood, CO.

Qualifications

• Currently in the final year of obtaining a Bachelor's degree, or obtained degree no longer than 24 months prior to the position start date, from an accredited college/university. Bachelor's degree must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
• No license required prior to starting. Training classes will pay for and provide support to obtain required state insurance licenses.
• Work or volunteer experience in sales, customer service, health care, or health insurance is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Guaranteed base pay + monthly sales incentive.
• Average first-year annual earnings: $60K (combination of base plus sales commissions).
• Top performers can earn $80K+.
• Sign-on bonus: up to $3,000 for external candidates ($2,000 base + $1,000 if licensed at time of offer).
