About the Role
The Warp Speed program leverages manufacturing expertise to revitalize the American Industrial Base. Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) on this team collaborate directly with customers, from the factory floor to executive leadership, to understand and solve complex problems using data. FDSEs apply problem-solving abilities, creativity, and technical skills to empower organizations to drive real-world impact. This role offers insight into and contribution to critical global industries and institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow engineers on architecture and design decisions.
- Wrangle massive-scale data and utilize AI to enhance critical operations.
- Develop custom applications tailored to customer needs.
- Engage directly with customer stakeholders, including technical teams and executives.
- Shape team strategy and drive projects from ideation to deployment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science.
- Strong coder with shown proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience or curiosity in working with and using large-scale data to solve business problems.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving objectives and iteration with users.
- Ability and interest to travel up to 25%, as needed to client sites.
