Sales Associate, Trauma (Seattle, WA) – Johnson & Johnson MedTech - Orthopaedics

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Seattle, WA territory. Our Orthopaedics teams develop innovative treatments at the intersection of biology and technology, aiming to improve and expand the possibilities of orthopaedics and reimagine how we heal. DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies, offers a comprehensive orthopedics portfolio, including solutions for trauma and craniomaxillofacial injuries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the DePuy Synthes sales organization in retaining and supporting penetration with existing customers and supporting product conversions with new customers.
• Aid in the attainment of established sales goals, including market share objectives within the prescribed territory.
• Apply knowledge of the sales process, product portfolio, and customer knowledge to improve sales outcomes.
• Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room through clinical and product knowledge.
• Present, demonstrate, and ensure proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products.
• Support customers by attending surgeries, assuring proper equipment availability and performance, and optimizing trays.
• Provide Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department consultation.
• Troubleshoot and provide other technical assistance.
• Handle customer requests, effectively manage hospital billing, and create/close purchase orders.
• Share key customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams.
• Prepare sales reports and documents as required.
• Maintain, track, and effectively deploy equipment and assets, ensuring product availability.
• Ensure all promotional materials are maintained in a presentable manner.
• Ensure DePuy Synthes Services and offerings meet the highest quality standards.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
• Improve customers’ insights into DePuy Synthes tangible and non-tangible value proposition and solutions.
• Differentiate DPS products versus competition by providing unique customer insights.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s Degree OR
• Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) + minimum of 2 years of professional and/or related experience OR
• Minimum of 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR
• Recently transitioned from Active Military Duty
• Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment.
• A valid driver's license issued in the United States.
• Ability to travel, which may include weekend and/or overnight travel.
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory.
• Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving, and business acumen skills.
• Must be efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive, and pro-active.
• Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols and solutions preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.)
• Experience:
• 2 years of professional and/or related experience (if holding an Associate Degree or Medical Certification) OR
• 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR
• Recently transitioned from Active Military Duty

Other

• This position is 100% commission/incentive compensation and is eligible for a bi-weekly draw.
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory.
• Ability to travel, including weekends and overnights.
