Graphic Design Intern

About the Role

The Graphic Design Intern role is an internship position with remote work flexibility. The intern will support the creation of visual assets for digital news content, including social media graphics, article illustrations, infographics, and basic layout elements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of brand-aligned visual concepts.
• Refine existing designs.
• Prepare files for online publication.
• Collaborate with editors and content creators to ensure visuals are clear, consistent, and engaging.
• Help with logo variations.
• Assist with image sourcing and editing.
• Maintain a cohesive visual identity across digital channels.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Canva, or similar software.
• Basic understanding of digital media, online publishing, or social media content is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to create clear, engaging visual content for digital platforms.
• Skills in Logo Design and Branding, with an understanding of visual identity, consistency, and brand guidelines.
• Proficiency in Image Editing, including basic retouching, resizing, and optimizing visuals for web and social media.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management.
• Ability to follow creative direction.
• Ability to work independently.
• Relevant coursework or portfolio demonstrating design work.
• Studying or having recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is an advantage.
