Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Strategy and Analytics team with the execution of detailed analysis and creation of reports, dashboards, and visualizations. This role provides critical information to the business for informed decision-making. The individual will identify trends, patterns, and insights by working with data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. Collaboration with various groups and stakeholders across the business is key to understanding information requirements, maintaining data integrity, and performing audits in the data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Distill complex data and relationships into clear, concise charts and visualizations.
• Support ad hoc data requests and analysis.
• Design data models to extract data from operational databases and transform the data into easily understood business views.
• Gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, writing SQL queries, etc.).
• Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis.
• Automate manual processes.
• Navigate CRM and other systems to build reporting and ensure consistency and compliance across departments.
• Develop management monthly KPIs/reports and BI dashboards for stakeholders across all business functions (technology, operations, field, billing, etc.).
• Perform in-depth analysis to identify key business risks and opportunities and make recommendations to improve overall profitability.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Utilize business intelligence and reporting software, database tools, Microsoft Excel, and Office automation to design, build, assess, maintain, improve, and distribute dashboards and reports.
• Combine data and present accurate information.
• SQL experience is a must with knowledge of relational databases and the ability to build and maintain views.
• Ability to conduct basic statistical and correlation analysis to identify patterns and trends.
• Excel, R/ Python, SQL.
• Experienced with BI Tools such as Power BI / Tableau / SAP (Power BI Preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sci/MIS/Data Analytics/Math or Statistics (or any analytical/data-driven discipline).
• 0-2 years of experience working within business intelligence (Co-op/Internships included).
• High Proficiency in data modelling and analysis with demonstrated acumen using Excel, PowerBI, Python & SQL.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Data-driven analytical skills, knowledge and/or experience related to financial analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands and deadlines.
