2027 Rotational Analyst Program

About the Role

Berkadia's Rotational Analyst Program offers a 12-month comprehensive onboarding and development experience for aspiring commercial real estate analysts. The program focuses on two critical platforms: mortgage banking and investment sales. Participants will gain exposure to Berkadia's culture, client-facing business segments, supporting groups, and technologies, interacting with employees from analysts to executive leadership.

The Program Rotations

The program includes two 6-month rotations in Investment Sales and Mortgage Banking. Upon completion, analysts will partner with leadership for permanent placement based on career interest, performance, and office needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Investment Sales Support:

• Assist Investment Sales Advisors with client and property financial analysis.

• Extract, manipulate, and prepare market data.

• Aid in preparing investment memorandums and valuations for senior executives.

• Gather market research to support the procurement and analysis of market rents, expenses, comparable sales, and market trends.

• Prepare financial analysis and projections for acquisition and disposition opportunities.

• Analyze P&L statements and rent rolls.

• Mortgage Banking Support:

• Review and evaluate new loan opportunities.

• Track the progress of loan opportunities through the loan cycle.

• Review Excel-based underwriting workbooks and narrative presentations.

• Review, size, and price transactions with the product originations team during the quote process.

• Draft quotes for business and credit teams.

• Add quotes to the internal tracking (CRM) system.

• Prepare loan applications.

Requirements & Tech Stack
