- Summary: Receive furniture shipments, assemble products, organize warehouse bays, and provide customer pickup support.
Key Responsibilities (Fulfillment & Staging)
- Safely receive, unload, store, move, and stage furniture throughout the retail fulfillment warehouse.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and dollies.
- Inspect, prepare, and assemble merchandise to verify quality standards.
- Perform minor furniture touch-ups, repairs, and repackaging to ensure merchandise is customer-ready.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and digital inventory scanning updates.
Key Responsibilities (Customer Order Fulfillment)
- Wrap and load customer purchases into guest vehicles with friendly, professional customer service.
- Stage and verify scheduled orders for home delivery route drivers to ensure complete delivery accuracy.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and backroom storage facility.
- Accurately complete and file required warehouse documentation, receiving manifests, and safety checklists.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Physical capability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull furniture weighing up to 100 lbs throughout shifts.
- Diligent focus on inventory accuracy, inspecting product condition, and proper documentation.
- Friendly and professional attitude when assisting retail shoppers during order pickup.
- Commitment to strict warehouse safety standards, equipment inspections, and maintaining a hazard-free work area.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with warehouse operations, forklift operation, or furniture assembly preferred; on-the-job training provided.
